Supported formats

What goes in, what comes out

Everything is checked and stated up front, so nothing about the conversion is a surprise.

Input
.heic — iPhone and iPad photos in the HEVC format. .heif — other HEIF container images. Files are identified by their actual content, so a renamed file that is not really a HEIC image is rejected with a clear message.
Output
A single PDF document with one image per page, encoded as JPEG inside the PDF.
Page order
Exactly the order shown in your list — the first image is page 1.
Page settings
A4 (default) or US Letter pages, portrait / landscape / “match each image” orientation, and small or no margins.
Limits
Up to 30 images per conversion, 40 MB each, 200 MB in total. The same limits apply on the converter page.

How it works

From photos to a finished PDF

Four steps, one document. Everything below happens in the converter on this site — no install, no account, no upload.

Select your images

Choose one or more .heic or .heif files, or drop them onto the upload area. Every file is checked by reading its actual contents, so a renamed file that is not really a HEIC image is rejected before anything is converted.

Arrange your document

Each image lands in the list as a card with a live thumbnail. Drag the cards — or use the move buttons — until the sequence matches the document you need. The first image becomes page 1.

Adjust your PDF

Open PDF settings to choose A4 or US Letter, an orientation (match each image, portrait, or landscape), and small or no margins. The preview beside the list is drawn with the same layout math the PDF uses.

Download your PDF

Press Convert to PDF and the document is assembled right in the tab. Check the file name, page count, and size on the result panel, then download it to your device.

Inside the converter

One workspace: list, preview, settings

The page order on the left becomes the page order in the PDF, the preview on the right is drawn with the same layout the document uses, and the settings underneath are the ones that ship.

This is a static preview. The working converter opens on its own page, where every control above is live.

File handling

Your photos never leave this device.

Files are read, decoded, and assembled into a PDF inside your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and there is no account to create.

Read the privacy policy
  • Read on your device

You pick files with the browser's own file picker. The page reads them from disk and never sends the bytes anywhere — when you start on the homepage, the batch is handed to the converter through local storage on your device, single use, and discarded after it is picked up.

  • Decoded in this tab

HEIC and HEIF decoding runs in a Web Worker inside your browser, using your device's own memory. Large batches simply take longer on older phones — they are never sent off to be processed elsewhere.

  • Assembled and downloaded locally

The PDF is built by a JavaScript library in the page and handed straight to your download. The finished file lands in your downloads folder without a server ever seeing it.

What is a HEIC file?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the default photo format on iPhone and iPad — Apple's name for a HEIF image compressed with the HEVC codec, which keeps files small. The trade-off is compatibility: many tools, printers, and submission forms still expect a PDF or a JPEG instead.

Converting to PDF is the simplest way to share several photos as one document: application forms, receipts, id cards, and scanned pages are usually requested as a single PDF in a specific order. This tool decodes each HEIC file in your browser, re-encodes the image for the document, and places one image per page. Combining several photos at once? The guide to merging HEIC images into one PDF covers ordering tips for bigger batches.

Prefer to keep one image per file? The same workflow still applies — convert a single HEIC and you get a one-page PDF. For a separate JPG per photo instead of a document, use the HEIC to JPG converter. For step-by-step instructions on specific devices, see the general HEIC-to-PDF guide, the iPhone guide, or the Mac guide.

Curious about the format itself? The guide to what a HEIC file is explains the container, how it differs from HEIF and JPEG, and how to open one on Windows or Android.

Use cases

Made for the documents you actually send

No dashboards, no templates, no watermark — just a straight line from a folder of HEIC photos to one PDF you can attach anywhere.

Open the converter
  • Combine photos into one PDF

Application forms, receipts, id cards, and scanned pages are usually requested as a single document. Add every photo in one run and each one becomes a page.

  • Prepare images for sharing

Send a PDF instead of a folder of HEIC files — it opens on any device, without needing a HEIC-capable viewer on the other end.

  • Keep pages in order

Drag the cards or use the move buttons until the sequence matches the document you need, then convert. The order you see is the order you get.

  • Adjust the page before downloading

Choose A4 or US Letter, set the orientation for the whole document or per page, and pick small or no margins — all before the file is built.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly

Anything missing? The contact page is open — reports about files that fail to convert are especially welcome.

Is this HEIC to PDF converter free?

Yes. The converter is free to use and does not require an account. You can convert up to 30 images at a time, up to 40 MB each and 200 MB in total per conversion.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Files are read, decoded, and assembled into a PDF entirely inside your browser. Your images are never sent to a server, and the conversion works without your files leaving your device.

Can I combine several HEIC images into one PDF?

Yes. Select multiple files and each image becomes one page of a single PDF. Use the move buttons or drag the cards to set the page order before you convert.

Which files can I upload — HEIC, HEIF, or both?

Both. HEIC (.heic) and HEIF (.heif) image files are accepted, and you can mix them freely in the same PDF. Every file is checked by reading its actual contents, so a renamed file that is not really a HEIC image is rejected with a clear message.

Will the PDF look exactly like my photo?

Images keep their aspect ratio and are fit to the page without stretching. Photos are re-encoded as JPEG for the PDF, which is normal for image-based PDFs, and small images are never enlarged beyond their natural size.

Does it work on iPhone, Android, and Mac?

The converter is designed for modern browsers on desktop and mobile, including Safari on iPhone and Mac and Chrome on Android. Because every file is processed locally, it uses your device’s memory, so very large batches may be slow on older phones.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser, so there is no desktop app to download, no plugin, and no account. Open the converter, choose your files, and download the finished PDF.

How big will the PDF be?

Each photo is embedded as a high-quality JPEG, so the finished PDF is roughly the combined size of the images you add. If you need a lighter file, convert fewer or smaller photos.
